YogSpace connects you with yoga instructors for live, 1:1 sessions. Nothing an instructor says or does during a Session — including sessions marketed under Back Pain Relief, Prenatal Yoga, or Restorative Yoga — is medical advice, a medical diagnosis, or a substitute for care from a licensed physician, physical therapist, obstetrician, or other qualified healthcare provider.
Our instructors hold RYT-500 (or higher) yoga certifications. That credential reflects yoga teaching training — it is not a medical, nursing, physiotherapy, or midwifery qualification. An instructor may adapt poses based on what you tell them about an injury, pregnancy, or condition, but they are not diagnosing you, treating you, or managing your care.
Before starting yoga for back pain, during pregnancy, during recovery from an injury or surgery, or for any other health condition, talk to your own doctor or qualified healthcare provider about whether it's appropriate for you, and about any movements or positions you should avoid. If you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or any concerning symptom during a Session, stop immediately and seek medical attention.
You are responsible for accurately disclosing relevant health information to your instructor before a Session, and for stopping a movement that doesn't feel right for your body, regardless of what an instructor suggests. YogSpace and its instructors are not liable for injury or harm arising from a Session, except where caused by an instructor's own negligence or misconduct, to the extent liability cannot be lawfully excluded.
YogSpace is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately — do not wait for or rely on a Session.
